"replace the camber plates"

What does that mean?

im not exactly sure either. that is what i was told by a friend. he said that if you drop a car over a certain amount it will not be able to be adjusted back to its proper alignment.

Okay,

Yeah, that is a camber kit. They do not make one for the SC....yet. Doublewhoosh is designing one now. Hopefully if enough of us commit to buying the kit at ~$180 he will make it a priority. When you lower your car the wheels butterfly. That is what causes the obvious inside track wear. Your SC comes with an adjustment to that camber problem but does not allow very much variance. A camber kit allows for more camber movement to correct the problem of lowering your car.

my tein ha's just came in yesterday and i am planning on installing them tomorrow. ..how bad will the "butterfly" be if i do about 1.5" all the way around? will it be really niticeable? i am probably going to get the alignment adjusted as much as possible. thanks

Second that...

What is the lowest one can go without seriously jeopardizing tire wear, without a proper camber kit?
