Default Diff ??
I have a 1993 SC 400. It has the original diff. I can't get the fill plug out. Is the diff case aluminum or steel. I don't want to put a torch on it if it's aluminum.

heat should be the last resort!
have you tried using a big breaker bar and cheater pipe yet?
pb blast that little *********** to hell
hold a magnet to it. if it sticks, it is steel
if it doesn't its aluminum!

It's cast iron by the lower passenger side drain plug. The rear cover is aluminum.

Usually ill air chisel them loose if the plug becomes stripped out. Just have to be careful.

does anyone here have a TT torsen diff? if you do, what oil do you put in it? i think mine leaked a little and i wanna change the oil in it. thanks
