Ian,

This has been asked, considered, and given up on several times.

Ian,
Long time no see. We never did meet last year in Montgomery. I was gonna go to the show out there but bailed.

The first thing you'll need is $$$$ and patience. Try to find a front clip. Tranny (6 speed is ideal), you'll need a custom driveshaft, tt diferential, harness or standalone and custom loom. There is a lot of stuff needed. This has been discussed previously. Check it out.

Good luck.

If you can write a check for $8-14K is not hard at all. I know a place can do it for you for $5000 total. That mean 2JZGTE (6-Speed is not included) and Labor. That is a hell of deal.

Lextreme,

I would hesistate before considering a shop that charges 1/2 of what experienced shops charge for the same swap. I heavily doubt that it can be done for $5000 at home because of the cost of the parts alone. I am not saying I do not believe you, but is this a price for YOU or a price for anyone who calls your friend/acquintance? This reminds me of that Signal Auto ad that made similar claims but did not include parts.

Hello PCMW,

Signal Ads was a joke. I went to them and ask about it (some of those guys dont even speak English). They said it was a mistake. The price they listed was just labor alone. This shop is a personal friend of mind. That is the price he gave me and i am sure that i can get the same price for the member. They have done a few swap already.

I dont want to say too much on it especially in this forum. If you need more info. Please PM or call me. I can help you guys out. I dont have special interest in this shop. I dont make any money of refer. I am trying to help. I have the resources and I will try to help you out as much as possible.

By the way, the 2JZGTE will be JDM, not US Spec.

ah now it comes out

seemed like a good deal until you said jdm motor

they are a dime a dozen as far as motor swaps go... all kinds of limiters, smaller injectors, smaller turbos, etc... totally diff ECU, etc...
