Restoring my headlights
What do you think? First pictures shows before and after with just a lens polish. Both head lamps were pretty bad inside. The drivers side had bad corrosion and needed to be completely repainted so i opted to go with metallic gray. Did the emblems as well. Not quite done with snap pictures when finished.
Looks good. I need to do mine soon... Last owner had some serious condensation in both and it looks like for awhile. Looks like u got a bottle of Plasti-X in the first pic... Been using it for years good stuff.
Looks good. Don't bother delining them, it takes too long and if u don't have a back up set you will be forced to live with duct tape holding them together (like me). I like them like you did them
Haven't I read somewhere that when you paint the inside color, it causes lighting issues? Maybe not as bright or the lightness is spotty?
I like the color you chose, alot better than black that I have seen. I hope this causes any issues for you. Looks good. Alot better than before.
I need to tear one of mine back apart yet again. It is still leaking and this condensation keeps getting in somewhere. Maybe this gives me the inspiration I need to work on the SC headlight again.

^ I think a lot of people take this advise without realizing how difficult it is to reseal them properly, and end up with lights worse than what they started with.
If you're going to open them up and clean them, be sure to do you research and read all the DIY's before hand, so you know what you're getting yourself into.

Oh, yeah good point. When I painted my insides black I lost a bunch of light. In fact my turn signals where not viewable unless directly in front. That's why so many who deline the lenses keep the clear triangle piece in there. I had to go back and paint the turn signal part chrome again so I can be seen better. Also, if you paint the center piece black you will have a white-ish ring around the covers (paint fixes it).
Hope that helps
I can nab pics when I'm at a laptop :/
