OK I looked up into the threads and im a little confuse... the sc400 transmission needs the Toyota T2 or T4 and nothing else? i went to autozone and bought the filter for the transmission and i wanted the fluid to but they told me that i needed mercon 5 ATF so i didn't bought fluid, thought it was weird.
Any feedback would be apreciated.

 

Type IV is what is recommended. Replaced a previous Dexron ATF.

 

I dont think a340e ever took regular "Dexron atf" but i could be wrong.

OP, use toyota type-iv and only toyota type 4. Its cheaper to get the correct stuff from the dealer than to buy the "compatible" one at autozone.

Also you will hear a million things about type 4 that simply are not true.

 

Yea i did bought the toyota type iv i also thought it was the best to go as well, thanks for the post guys.
