Default Stock suspension direction?

Is there a certain way stock suskension should be? I'm having problems getting my suspension back in place, the top hat bolts don't match up to their bolts.

Are they the same ones you took off or did you buy new ones? They do have to be turned a certain way. If they are new then double check the part number.

I had to clock the top hat so the 3 bolts on top and 1 bolt on bottom all line up
I can see the difficulty with stock springs because it puts tension on the top hat. Just about all cars get put back together with lowering springs!

They're the ones I took off, when I compressed the springs and de compressed them when I first took them off it misaligned the top hat with the bottom strut mount, there is A LOT of tension on the strut from the spring. I just recompressed it and straightened them out, problems solved. I'll leave this thread open so people can use this as reference if they run into this problem.

They don't really have to be turned a certain way. The actual strut spins freely when the spring is compressed. Just line that up to where the spring is to be seated and the top hat should line up as well. The spring stays connected to the top had while the bottom releases tension.
