When I bought my SC, my steering was off. I would turn left and it had some play until I turned some more. My buddy told me my steering rack was loose so we tightened it but in the process removed a part. I need to know in case I'm in danger for driving without it. And as for the part it's a broken piece off something. It was inside my center console and just wondering if it's from my car. Album in link

Not sure what the first one is. The second one looks the part of the rack bushing(worn out bushing)

 

Okay I thought it was a bushing but it didn't look like any of the ones I would see online. Have any idea if it's dangerous?

 

Yeah the second one is the remainder of a steering rack bushing. I'm also not sure what the first one is.
