Starting up problem sc300
Hey cl got a issue with my car when I don't drive it for a couple hours it does a long crank then starts up and when I leave the car running for few mins and start it up again to see if it does it again and it doesn't it starts up fine the second time what's up with that? Any suggestion or help I have banged up the bottom pretty bad cuz I'm maxed on my tien coilovers but could that be a problem ? Help please
Sounds like it's leaking fuel into the combustion chamber as it sits. Either leaking injector(s) or a faulty fuel pressure regulator. The next time you go to start it after it's been sitting for awhile, try starting it with the accelerator to the floor to see if it helps. If it does that's your problem.
i have the same problem, i have been told my fuel pump wasnt getting enough voltage so i was told to do the 12volt mod. i still havent done it, mine doesnt occur as often as yours though, maybe once every 2-3 days. and white smoke comes out.
this is a different from what i just said.
this morning my battery did drain on me, when it started up it was taking a long time so i just gave it gas, then it started up.

You can test the battery and alternator with a multi-meter easily. With the car running place the negative probe onto the negative terminal and the positive probe onto the positive terminal. It should read around 14.4V with the car running. If it's in the 13's or lower you have a bad alternator, that or if you're lucky the belt is loose. With the car off and after it's sat for a minute or two the battery should read around 12.6V. If it's 12.2V or lower the battery is weak, but it may just need refilled with water and trickle charged before using it again.
reset the ecu right before your next cold start. don't do it after turning it on, do a reset on a complete cold motor and let the ecu figure stuff out again when you start it after that.
