I changed my trunk supports today and wanted to share this quick vid.

Yeah, what Is that!? when I press my button it just slightly pops open, and I have to raise it. where did you get yours?

Yes, magic. Lol. No its just new trunk supports but it sure does feel like it.

I went with the turbo lift brand from napa auto parts. Part # 819-4731. I like them too. They open up quick and towards the end it slows down so the trunk doesn't jerk so much.

Mine opened like that too for the first couple weeks, then i believe it adjusts and only opens slightly

 

Damn... I want my trunk to open like that LOL. You just convinced me to buy some new trunk supports haha

 

Yeah man, i got a 99! my remote head key has the button for trunk release lol

just installed mine from rockauto.com,mine are called strongarms.the dead ones i removed was for a wingless trunk,my car came with a wing.no more baseball bat holding up the trunk.such a little repair with a great effect

 

looks good, mine are still sitting in a box waiting to get done.
It will pop up like that for a while especially if you are wingless and you get the ones for a wing cause they are designed to have more force.

 

Damn.. i thought mine were still good because they opened slightly when i hit the button, yours look like it can knock someone out
