200k+ miles on your SC300?
Depending on where you live check for rust. If it is well maintained and accident free buy it, 400K+ miles with proper care is realistic.
My 98 SC300 had 224K on it when a hurricane flooded it. I made repairs and it runs like the flood did not take place. I took it on a road trip from Texas to Philly when it had just under 200K mikes. It ran flawlessly and was a joy to drive. The only part I worry about is my transmission going out because the wet clutches were exposed to water when the transmission was completely submerged for about 16 hours. I flushed the fluid several times but water is very harmful for the clutch material so time will tell how it plays out. I will swap in a used transmission if I have problems. If not for that issue I would not hesitate to drive this car to Philly again today.

Since my last post in this thread my same SC300 is now up to just over 261k miles and going. It has since had a new engine, transmission and rear differential installed and some things here and there have been replaced or repaired along the way but it's just as solid and reliable as it was when I first bought it a decade ago at 189k miles after having done some initial TLC maintenance and repairs right off the bat.
Stock 99. 324k miles, getting her fixed back up and will daily until I put a built motor in. Sunroof leak at two fron hoses and lower control arm bushing but putting in new control arms and little suspension things, reseal the front of the motor, water pump, timing belt, front main seal, cam seals and valve cover gaskets. She will be ready for another 300k

Thanks Kira! I've only put roughly 71k on it myself in ten years which I think isn't too bad for a daily. Maybe it will see less regular use eventually but my plan has always been to keep restoring it and just enjoy it since it will never be a low miles garage queen.
That’s a really good way to look at it. As long as you get to enjoy the car.
Good attitude! I relish my SC400 hitting 200,000 miles. Friend of mine has over 300,000 on his SC300.
