Ok my trac light is on indicating something is wrong with my traction control. Here's the problem. I'll start my obd1 1994 SC400 and all is fine. I drive about a mile and my trac light comes on all the time and then my traction control just stops working. I normally don't need it, but when it rains I love having it on. I tried checking the code but its not stored for some reason. How can I pull the code since it will only come on after driving for a bit? Once i turn the car off and on then the code goes away again until being driven a short distance again.
How can i pull the code? Thanks for any input.
Mine does the same but its both my TRAC and CEL and sometimes turns on and off during drive but no codes are stored as well. Want to know how this turns out cuz my next step I'm guessing is another ECU.

Cel seems to trigger the trac light. fix whatevers causing the cel and the trac light should turn off
It is under the hood on the top right. It's in a small plastic box that holds 4 other fuses. Be careful they are hard to take out.
I don't remember which engine codes were tripped... it was a while ago. A traction control relay can be found on ebay for like $15. Worth a shot. From the dealership they are like $90.
my trac light came on and I found there was air in my traction control system, opened the bleeder valve activated the traction control module and bled it and problem went away.
My trac light is causing all sorts of problems, Mine sometimes comes on at about 46mph... that is, if it isn't on from the start up, now I can barley start my car. Idle is high, slams into gear. and will barly take off in 3rd gear.. then is will pop back into normal mode... grrr im frustrated too!
My trac lamp use to come on whenever I turned a corner. I figured out that it will come on when the brake fluid is low, so I topped it off, and never have a problem unless it gets low again. Mine is a '92.

Through tips here on CL, I found that the rubber high pressure line to the Trac Accumulator, deteriorates causing the TRAC light. Symptoms included hearing the ABS TRAC pump cycle repeatedly after start, followed shortly (mile or two) by the TRAC light. Replacing that line (requires two o-rings), and bleeding the system seems to have cured it. TRAC bleeder should be the red capped nipple between the brake master and the fender, sorta pointing straight up, so make sure to use a tube (like bleeding brakes) to keep caustic Brake off all painted surfaces. Had that not cured, next option from dealer was repl. TRAC accumulator (~621.00 part only). Good luck and let us know what you find.
