Today I connected the tranny plug w solenoids on harness all the plugs from auto tranny stayed on harness including nss I left it on park.
Connected 5 pin relay w hand brake
Hand brake up it goes to park
Hand brake down it goes to drive
Hopefully I get no check engine light and be able to pass smog obd2

Will post pics on how I connected relay took me about 3 hrs to figure how to wire I still haven't tried starting will pit flywheels on to try to see if the hand brake thing works

thanks man, slowly but surely.
i just cut a hose and wrapped it around the stainless steel line so if it does decide to move a bit i will be protected by the rubber hose then i just put a zip tie.
ghetto fab line shield lol. had a sheet of metal here n the garage and said something is better than nothing lol. it does the job

Just realized you're doing this on an obd2 sc400. I've been wanting to do a manual swap on my '99 vvt-i sc400 forever. I guess with the electronics and CEL issues, it would be pretty much exactly the same as on your '96?
