OH I'M SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!! Today on Craigslist I found a guy parting a 400 its a 92 just like mine.
I dont have door panels. So Im on it, he sends me a couple of pics. They are AMAZING.
So I ask him whats wrong with your car? He says he bought it 2 weeks ago and the fan went out and the rear struts are blown. He also says Lexus quoted him more than he paid for the car. Over 4 grand.
I have to ask , what do you want to get out of the car? he says Is there any way it would be worth 2000?
I need to look at it and I'm free now So I'm on my way.
On a 1 to 10 scale
Paint 8, interior 9.2, engine cleanliness and quietness 9, aftermarket wheels nice tires I don't like them, but they are newer.
Fan system blew a small leak in a hose and yes the rear struts are blown.
What could I do but ****** this car up. Even with the blown struts it runs and drives amazing. I had never driven one untill now.
I know now that I have definatly chosen the right car to absolutly enjoy.

Mine was a total project I was planing a LS 6-speed. I dont know what i'll do with it now.

 

Nice find, pics asap please. And you can't go wrong with an LSx swap, I'm loving mine.

 

Why post such a great find without any pictures? We at CL demand pictures or it didn't happen.

My first impression was definatly higher than what it actually is but I'm WAY happy still.

 

I almost bought that lol. He had it at 2k and I was interested in low balling him. He contacted me first about it and I was hoping it was 1500 or so. Good find, I saw this one and thought who is gonna be the lucky person to get it...

Congrats! And for a '92 the interior/exterior was taken care of nicely. Question how many miles are on the Sc?

It does look good inside compared to many. Hopefully it will work out and not be a money pit. SC's are hit or miss on that depending on previous maintenance.

 

That's a clean SC! I wish I could get a good deal like that.
