The output shaft of the 6-speed is a 4-bolt plate with universal. The output shaft of the 5-speed is a "slip" universal that allows the shaft to expand/contract. The only ways to adapt a DS for a 6-speed sc, is to build a custom one or *lengthen* a TT shaft. Keep in mind the companion flanges are different sizes between the TT 6-speed, TT auto, and NA 5-speed differentials.

quick update for everyone.

Getting so close to being finished. Today, I installed the walbro fp, made some custom brackets for my fmic, and mounted it up! Look at her shine This week, the drive shaft will go back on, the exhaust, all of the fluids, connect the fuel line (still working on the connector issue, but have an idea) and plug in the ecu and the rest of the connectors. I'm hoping to fire it up over the next week or so.

Sorry if you've told us before, but I'm too lazy to browse through pages looking for it. What kind of FMIC is that? I'm going to start looking at some nice ones to go behind my JIC bodykit.

No problem Tony. It's an ADFX fmic. When you're ready, just let me know, and I'll hook you up with a deal, it's my buddies product, ADFX Racing. I did have to make some custom brackets, since this fmic is for a supra, and the top mounting points are different.

Your definitely going to have to fill out that nice big opening on that jic front bumper! I've been contemplating kits myself and that by far would be my choice. I can't wait to see it mounted up to your
car. Is it going on your Black TT or the White 400?

Oh, and thank you very much boredguy77

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, after lots of busted knuckles and bloodshed The car is now running. The motor sounds great, along with the single hks super dragger exhaust. (pics below)

Checked all of my connections, set the bcc, and a few other misc. things. I was so anxious, went to go turn the key after filling her with some oil, prelubed a bit, after that, she started on the first crank!!

I can now start to put it back together and get some miles on the new clutch, then comes the DYNO!

I'm still on a high from turning that key. Just wanted to share my joy with you guys.

Thanks hpc, you're exactly right about the gratification part. In fact, last night my buddy and I finally pulled her out of the garage for the first test drive!! Boost controller off for stock boost, gauge is working ( in my cup holder) you guys would be so freakin amazed on how the car looks. There is no evidence of boost, except for the big fmic in the front, which I have to raise higher as it's sitting too low. Now I just have the little stuff.

I even took the wife out for a spin, and we both just had a smile from ear to ear ! As I pulled out of my neighborhood, I slowly let out the clutch, and a nice, rather quiet rumble from the single hks exhaust grew louder, getting on it just a bit, boost hit and actually broke one of my tires loose mid 2nd gear, damn this open diff This thing pulls! and I couldn't really get on it with the new clutch, and it was on stock boost.

Now I just have to adjust the fmic, and may even have to continue my search for a Wise front lip to help cover the fmic. I can't stand the bumper on this 93, I don't like how it raises up in the center. Because I had to make some custom brackets for the fmic, we didn't anticipate this. Either way, its not a major issue.

I'll have some video in about a week or two, when I get the clutch broken in, I'll be getting on the dyno.
Stay tuned.

Chris

Yeah the car looks really good. So much so that it has brought back my itch to build a turbo SC. If you dont mind me asking how much did you spend on this entire project and how long did it take you to do? A price break down would be awesome, but only if you feel comfortable.
If I am not mistaken you live in Glen Ellyn right? If so hope to see you around on the road maybe as I am right over in Bllomingdale. Good lck and enjoy the product of your valiant effiorts!
