Default need some help kinda

Ok long story short I'm wobdering if somethings wrong with my car. In just curious why I can do a burnout I don't kn ow if it lacking power or what I've never driven a 2j sc or anythinf before just got it and my friend asked me to do a burnout abd it won't. It seems to accelerate quick but it should be able to burnout. I've tried trac off pwr mode od off low gear everything ajd it just won't spin. It seems like it diesnt kick in all the power but there no cel and I'm mainly looking for some suggestions to look into. I'm gona punch the cats and cut the secondarys out and thinking of doing a compression check but it only has 118k an d has been well maintained.
Ty for ur time

Well see that's the weird part if I step on brake and gas it just loads the torque converter it won't actually burnout... it seems to be making power because I t ok med 0-60 it was around mid 8s but I'm just surprused it won't power brake and burnout. Is there any common things woth these cars that rob power ? I camt wait to just swap a 5spd jn ot but gotta get the cage done first

Not likely to damage trans doning a burnout I'm not so worried about the burnout as I am the possible power producing issue that causing it to jot be able to. After driving the car regularily for a few days it seems fine and it did burnout the other day so mahbe itsbjust the perelli tires makingbit hard to break traction. Eother way I'm not worried bout it working on getting a roll cage my buddy has a w58 and driveshaft for me

Your not likely to damage the trans during a burnout? Lol burn away with that w58 then.

Your going to throw a roll cage in a good condition sc300 with low miles? greattttttt, least i know something is helping the value of mine.

you wont get much power from gutting your cats, what you need is an r154 swap and a turbo.
the problem is the auto trans, but the v8 or turbo helps alot with that.
