OK guys well my 1uzfe engine i previously had overheated and almost blew to kingdom come so i plan on buy another v8. now my question is once i purchase this what r some thing i should replace, as in best quality gaskets in order to make sure longevity is insured on this engine been studying back and forth cant find a definite answer really would like to lower compression also just incase i decide to boost this bad boy. any help before i drop this engine in will help me out thanks. also a good radiator info would be good plan to make this car boosted single turbod so lemme know with a r154 tranny any info on what i can do to the engine before i drop it in would be great

 

Hey Zenny, Pretty new myself but ill give it a go. I was looking into a r154 swap but it wast cost effective for me right now. Turns out to be a pretty penny since the engine and tranny dont bolt up. As for the engine, which year is your sc? It is said that the pre 96 engines can take the most beating, but who really knows for sure. I have a 92 Sc400 and im planning a turbo setup right now. I have no engine problems and this engine SHOULD be good up to about 10 PSI stock. Hope i helped a bit.

 

i really needed to know what type of gaskets to replace the oem ones and stuff like that but thank u didnt know the older ones were stronger

 

use a thicker copper gasket

 

It's pre 95.

The 92-94 are the strongest.
