Default Need help with gated shifter conversion

Ok so I got all of my wiring done and everything mechanically installed and for the life of me I can't get the gear slections to line up. I have tried the one inch shorter shift linkage and just the stock length shift linkage I either can't get the car into park or I cant get low to be actual low.

My only guess is I have a car with p r n d 2 l and my gated shifter mechanism has p r n d-4 3 2-l but shouldnt that still work as 3 would be 2 and 2l would be low

Pretty sure it was a common snese thing I screwed up on but all the conversions I have seen seem to use the p r n 4-d 3 2-l shifters but if my old shifter was prnd32l then it should have only made sense to get the same

Your shifter says D (5), 4, 3, 2, L but your automatic transmission doesn't have 5 gears. Because of placement your D remains the same but when you select 4 you are actually in 3rd (assuming you wired it right) and 3 becomes 2, 2 becomes L, so L on the shifter has nothing left to map too. If you want perfect labeling you'll need to source a SC300 gated shifter assembly.

Ahh See nobody ever said that in any of the write ups. So I did have it hooked up and operating properly last night.

can anyone confirm if overdrive would still work the same way on the SC300 shift? If that install work 100% correctly I would be inclined to do that

If you wired it up correctly D remains D. When you go into 4th on the shifter O/D OFF should turn on.

FYI I'm selling a sc300 gated shifter with linkage.

yeah my 4 turned O/D off and D turned it back on

I was talking about on the SC300 gated shifter would 3 remain O/D off and D be O/D on
