No, I just bought a tube of Wenol, paper towels and went to town with it. I first tried using cotton terry rags, then mf towels, but neither worked as well as paper towels. Some sort of chemical reaction with the paper helped the Wenol work real well on the dull oxidized surface.
This is how the set looked when I picked the set up off a craigslist ad, they were pretty beat and required a couple days to really clean up. But for $250 for the whole set, I figured that it wouldn't be pristine.. lol

And yeah i recommend that too and would do that if mine werent chrome already, gunmetal or flat back looks great too

wow, i love the look of polished, but it would take me weeks to polish mine if i chose to go that route. would i have to buy chrome centercaps then?

Alot of elbow grease has to be put into these, but the outcome is pure sex.
I would safely say, that the TT in chrome is one of the best looking 17inch chrome wheel out there on any SC.

I don't think polishing will give the full look of chrome.
Dougspeed's wheels are polished, but if you look closely his center caps are chrome. There is a slight difference between the wheel and the center cap.
My wheels are chrome TT. The center cap and wheel match. I guess it depends on how picky you are. Polishing will still produce a nice result.
