I got in an accident about a week and a half ago, and I haven't posted I just haven't had the time. I was headed home and I was going through a 4-way stop and the guy didn't stop and t-boned me in my passenger side. Luckily, nobody was hurt (except my SC ). The passenger side of my car is all dented up and looks really bad. Plus, I don't have vehicle damage coverage on my car, so I'm not getting anything from insurance anyways.

And yes, my car is dirty and it needs a car wash.

I don't know what to do now, go ahead with fixing it, i.e. getting a whole new door shell most likely, and having a shop repair all the dents. Just wanting some advice on where to go from here.

Pictures aren't that good, but it's all I have atm.

The guys here are going to have to know more details on the car to judge how much money is logical to put into it but a door and fender is CHEAP at a yard. May even find your color. Keep your car unless it has other issues.

Man I hope its cheap! I'm going to check some yards soon, everytime I've gone I have yet to see an SC though. But idk, might have to travel a bit to find one.

I second the notion. I say keep it, it is worth fixing the door skin and other minor things your are mentioning.

How much would a door skin cost? I don't really want to do it myself I would want it done professionally.

door, fender, and the panel right under the door may need to be made straight again. once you open the door you will know if its just exterior damage or if the bottom of the door area has moved in some. If its just exterior damage you may get lucky with just the replacement door and fender for now.

I have taken off the door panel, and the interior has been dented if that's what you mean. The door shuts and opens fine, nothing wrong there.

I think this is an excuse to get some carbon fiber doors

You could always paint those doors if you aren't about CF on anything other than the hood

I'm not sure what are the insurance requirements are for your state. In Maryland, they only require Liability which is what pays for the property you damage that is not yours resulting from your fault. So in this case, the other guys insurance should pay up unless they had no insurance or this was a hit and run.

I think I know why if your dad doesn't want to go through the insurance companies.

From the looks of the damage, if the rockers are not damaged, if it's just the door, I say you are looking at about $1000 - $2000 from a shop. More if there is more damage underlying.
