Question SC300 Manual Shift **** replacement

Hey guy's

Any recomendations on a replacement 1993 sc300 manual 5 speed shift **** with the w58 transmission. Even a short shifter would be sweet? if that's even posibble?!

Short shifter would be a nice upgrade, if you can weld. Anything is possible. The TRD shift **** looks good, but the Soarer OEM shifter **** looks even better.

Apparently the short-shift kit that Supra Sport sells is compatible with the SC300 W58's so you might want to check it out, although you might be cheaper making something.

I installed the TRD shift **** in my Soarer last year and definitely prefer the look and feel over the OEM shifter ****. Order the shifter boot and bezel while you're at it and it makes for a nice upgrade over the worn-out original stuff.

Blox 490 shift **** for me. Very nicely weighted, just beware of getting burnt in the middle of a SoCal summer lol

I actually forgot about the MR2 ****. I actually owned one of these cars. I had a 1993 MR2 turbo. Back then I knew absolutely nothing about boost. Some have come a long way compared to others. LOL

I prefer the standard SC300/Soarer/MKIII-Turbo **** but that MR2 **** looks very nice!

As for short shifters, I don't think it's possible unless you have a 1995-1997 model with the external tripod style shifter. For 92-94 there aren't really any options for a bolt-in short shifter.

Thats what I have. Sold the TRD and put the OEM R154 Soarer one on. Better feel all around and makes me think of shorter shifting through the gears.

The mr2 spyder shift **** is the same as the MKIV Supra **** except it isn't discontinued (yet).

The TRD shift **** is an improvement over stock but FAR too tall.

FYI MKIV W58 short shifter kit will work if you have a 95+ transmission.

I switch between two. keeps driving refreshing.

Blox somesortanumbers

uberawesome jdm fanboi spec bubble ****

Also ran a greddy counterweight that I've put back into my tC since the shifter felt too short, without the throws getting any shorter, if that makes any sense. like someone took a hacksaw to my shifter with no thoughts given to the pivot point.

Edit: just as an fyi, my car has a 95 tripod w58.

If anyone is curious what it looks like, I just installed this shift **** out of a Celica 5spd into my SC300. The threads were indeed 12x1.25mm. Got it for $11 shipped from eBay. It's super polished from use, but I wanted to make sure it fit good, because there is another Celica ****, JDM variant, with nice leather stitching (OEM brand new from Japan but is a whopping 108 shipped) My goal was to find an OEM Toyota replacement for my stock ****. Leather wears bad but I think it's worth the compromise.

Here is the JDM variant
