Default Bad hks wastegate?

Hey guys, so my ebay hks knockoff went out recently and ended up buying a real hks for a decent price on here. Anyways during normal driving (out of boost) car feels sluggish and you hear an exhaust leak type sound near the wastegate with a slight metal rattle.

Car also feels loss of backpressure during regular driving, like it takes a while to get up to speed then surges.

Also the wastegate is adjustable and i have it to its loosest setting which hits about 10psi right now, The spring is very short and small incomparison to my knockoff hks, also it sits on the outer ring of the metal rather than fitting inside like the xs power wastegate.

are you sure you have it sitting correctly, like you installed the flange/plate with it?

Double check you dont have a bad turbo to manifold gasket, i had that issue a few months ago...

have any pics of how it fits right now?

hey guys, so went and held my hand over the dump hole and sure enough. Its blowing exhaust fumes out of it at idle. What would cause this? wastegate holds boost perfectly and seemed in great shape when i took it apart for inspection.

Possibly needs to be adjusted tighter?
