Exclamation 1UZ experts, I need help!

Hi people. I hope someone can help me with this.
I´m installing a F/IC-8 piggyback on my SC400 by following a diagram that another member gave me. All went good til I found that my engine speed sensor (crank) and cam position sensor wires (#5 and 7) were tied together at the ECU.
I need both of them to finish my piggyback install.
What should I do? Is the signal the same in both sensors and I can tie the FIC wires there too?
I just don´t know what to do

Not grounds. Number 5 and 7 at the E10 connector.
#5 is attached to the #7 cable.

Well, yes. Following some diagrams to make sure, you were right Quicksc4
I´ve install everything and today my car started. Awful idling and no more than 2k revs, but it started.
As threads seems can´t be deleted I´ll continue to post my progress with the AEM F/IC-8 install and tuning. Maybe later I can make a build thread and merge them.

Default AEM F-IC 8 piggyback

Please continue to post your progress, i was looking to buy the same EMS. Where did you buy it?
Did you get harness so that you can plug it in the OEM ECU? How much did it cost ?
Please post pictures of the install and detailed info on changes that you had to make and so on.
Thx
/Mike

Yeah because it wouldn't make sense that's what i thought , if they tied the cam and crank signal together it will not work.
The grounds yes it will work they are tied together!

Nice glad you got it working bro!

Thanks, I´m feeling that the install was the easy part thoe.
This weekend I´ll try to tune it a little to see if I can make it work.
Now if I put the jumper harness my car throws a CEL. Don´t know why :S

Ok it's probably a wire (s) cross around , i am sure the wiring in the jumper harness is not 100% correct there is something missing.

At first car didn´t start because I had cam and crank sensors in and out reversed. Now that I switch them, my car started with the FIC with a rough idle and firing problems (but started) and when I put the jumper harness it´ll start normally and run fine but after some seconds it throws a CEL.

Progress!!
First I re-did the wiring and get rid of the CEL (had a cam in/out wrong)
connected the F/IC and, while at high rpm went quite good (just quite), car didn´t idle good. So, rough idle and missfires.
Today I did this http://clubsciontc.com/forums/diy-in...tor-mod-27163/ and...
F/IC working as it should, P-E-R-F-E-C-T!
This week she´ll be at the garage as I´ll go on a trip. As soon as I get back, I´ll tune it a bit and go for a ride!
Videos comming soon

Because the person that built his patch harness wired the cam and crank backwards.

It happens sometimes.
