Default 1jz single turbo

I am interested in upgrading my twins to a single. I currently have a stock 1jz non vvti auto in my 98 sc300. Have a fmic and jdm 440's and a 3" straight exhaust. will tune myself with a safc neo, no tuners in my area. I want to have quick spool that will hold through the rpms. Only looking to get around 350whp. What turbo do you recommend? Thanks

Stock twins.

Seriously.
Nothing spools like those and they can handle 18psi fairly comfortably.

Why are you wanting to go single for that horsepower goal? No offense, I would just stay with what you have man. If you are determined to do that, then a BW S360 will do it just nicely.

I thought the stock twins maxed out efficiency at 16psi?

I guess I really want as much hp as the stock 1jz auto will handle safely.

350 is about it... give or take... maybe less. I know the tranny is your weakpoint.

You could go for as much as you want once... but then you have to fix things.

I wouldn't doubt it. I haven't seen a compressor map on them but that sounds right.

Never stopped me from pushing mine past 22psi, however

Ok say I got a built auto. What turbo should I run. For quick spool through all rpm's. I'm going to keep stock cams.
