Default Sewell cut keys

Have we had good reviews with buying keys cut to vin from Sewell? I'm about to buy a couple and don't want to have any issues. Anyone ordered any from them?

Sewell is a Lexus dealership. You go to dealerships for OEM stuff. Go figure.

I vaguely remember reading on this site that someone ordered keys that didn't fit and had difficulty with getting help from Sewell. I could be wrong.

Thanks. Did you get master with or without buttons?

As long as all information are provided like jadu mentioned it should be fine. I had a conversation about keys with guy from a Lexus dealership and he said there are slight differences in keys between 92-95, 95-96 and 97+. He didnt specify what differences and never sent me the detailed info as he promised.

I got a master from the local dealer anyway cut to my VIN and didnt have any trouble with it. Note that master and valet keys are different in terms of having some features locked for the valet key. Sewell doesnt respond to PM very often (at least in my experience) and remember somebody else mentioning that before, but I never read a thread about keys where somebody doesnt say "get a key from sewell" given that they give you the same dealership service you'd get locally at a CL discounted price.

I bought a smart master key/remote for a 2005 LS430, with cutting, from Sewell. Programmed at my local Lexus dealership. Works fine - no problems so far.
Check with your local Lexus dealer for key+cut+program. I saved about $20 to $50.
