Exclamation Key Not Turning off all the way

Hello,
I have a 93 SC300 Auto. I had a problem with it not going all the way in park and not being abel to get the key to turn off all the way. Well i have the hole center concel apart now so i can post pic if needed. Also it dosnt always want to come out of park. I can see everything in there and have cleaned and lubed all moving slides n springs but i cant seem to get it to that final click i feel like maby somting may not be lined up right its been a problem since i got the car and i have had it only about a month so im a noob with the sc. I honstly am only creating the post b/c I can find all kinds of people talking about the problem but nothing most of the answers i find r stupid and i know mine has to do with not being lined up right OR electrical witch i just want to know what wire on the key clyinder locks the key from coming out if the car woud be in drive or NOT in park? SO I am planing on swaping to W58 or R154 soon ne way so I dont care if the key will come out with the car in drive. as long as i can turn it all the way off to get it out is all im worried about. So do ne of you know what the wire color is and if it is a negative or positive trigger b/c i dont want it and would asume i would run in to this problem when swaping out the auto to 5speed.
Thanks

First, welcome to the forum.

The problem most probably is in the shifter area. Something must be stuck between the shifter and the metal disallowing it to engage into park mode fully and causing it to lock the key in. Bypassing this security feature is more of brushing dust under the rug and is probably harmful in the long run.

I suggest you remove the black plastic bezel around the shifter (4 screws) and see whats going on underneath it. Post a picture to help to help illustrate further.

Have you tried sticking something in the hole next to the shifter meanwhile?

Maybe the linkage is loose. Go below your car and check from there, you can adjust it and problem solved.
