I replaced the entire wiring harness 2 days ago because only my locks would work, now both windows work. The only problem now is that sometimes it works great, sometimes it doesnt work at all.

I finally got it rolled back up and after that it worked perfectly. Today I had my window down and it started to rain so I went to roll it up and the same thing! After I got back home it finally rolled back up. I am pretty sure it's a bad connection somewhere but does anyone know something in particular that could cause this?
My wife's '01 Camry does the same thing, but only if you roll the window down all the way, and only sometimes --- usually when it's raining. We've been living with it, trying to remember not to roll it all the way down (I'm the one that usually forgets, because I don't drive it much). I was going to try replacing the the switch, but from what you said, that doesn't seem to be the problem.

Does anyone know how the driver side window switches work? What happens in the circuit when the window continues down after you let go of the switch? I've suspected that the gremlin is in there, somewhere.
