I'm having a problem with the power steering.

It was making a whining noise at first i change the belt, and the small hose on reservoir. The noise stopped.

For some reason now its just really tight to turn the wheel, its not making any noise.
Can some please give me some advice. Thank you... Lexus Rule.

 

So many questions left unanswered... What was actually causing the whine - the pump or the belt? How long / how many miles between changing the belt and the steering becoming tight?

What kind of hose did you use? If it wasn't a reinforced-wall hose it may have collapsed and cut-off your fluid flow. Did you put ATF or power steering fluid in it?

 

Well whine was from a small cut in the hose from reservoir to the power steering pump...
Also my belt was bad...

I bought a hose from discount auto part return hose... Cost like 4 dollars. I did put power steering fluid in...

 

I change the belt with hose at the same time.

 

If you put power steering fluid in it, instead of ATF as the cap on the reservoir states it uses, you may have an issue with the 2 fluids mixing. I'm not sure, have never heard of anyone doing that, and don't know if it's the source of your problem. I would drain the system entirely, flush it with 3-4 quarts of ATF and then see how it feels.

 

You need to bleed the system. Plenty of info here and there.

 

Times 2... drain it and just start over

 

Ok i did bleed the system and the steering wheel is little bit tight.. But when i drive its kinda loose... The douche bags at PEP Boys told me it was my power steering pump ... Also i checked the rack and pin... It's fine, no leaks at all.
