so i was randomly going through the engine bay making sure everything was good( driving through snow and i wanted to make sure the salt and hard chunks of snow didnt mess anything up) then i noticed a random cable near the passager side just chilling there. anyone have any clue what it plugs into? the car had the wiring harrness moved to avoid tire chew up by the previous owner. dont know if its important or not but nothing has ever seemed wrong witht the sc and it still runs just fine since ive noticed this cable tucked away. oh and the cable leads into the wheel well where it just goes into the chassis it looks like.

 

Airbag sensor wire. The air bag sensor is behind the front part of the fender liner/splash shield at the top.

What do you mean by work around? You said previous owner removed some wires to avoid rubbing with tires? That's the reason. When you lower the SC it rubs everything in the wheel well. Previous owner might have decided to just unplug it.
