If you're not tied to the factory radio stations, I would just delete the antenna-fill it in, re-paint and go with a XM/SIRRUS HD radio antenna? I think there is a few threads on this already?

If u want to check out the Mdx antenna setup. Check the thread I just made or other threads on here for it. Fm signal is pretty good but am sucks. I mainly got it for fm anyway so I don't care.

I replaced my antenna with an aftermarket power antenna and it works perfectly and I get good reception so if you don't mind the power antenna maybe just find a good quality aftermarket one to replace it rather than go through a lot of extra hassle? Just an idea though.

Thanks fellas and I did post in ur mdx thread. And ya I was thinking bout doing a complete delet in the atenna but don't really have the time and Chicago weather isn't so good for filler atleast in the garage. But besides the aftermarket power and the mdx besides xm no one else has playd with any other antennas

I deleted mine on one of em. Welds the hole shut, grind smooth then you don't have to worry about filler.

Has anyone seen the shorty antennas on eBay that say they fit on our SC300's?

Also, has anyone every installed one? They're a bit shorter than the S2000 so I'm wondering if they even get decent reception for FM stations let alone the AM.
