Not to scare you guys, but if I were to do it again, I would buy a well maintained or even a dealership maintained and garaged or totally babied SC for $10,000+ rather than getting a totally beat up $1,000+ SC. And my SC's body isn't even bad, just a lot of maintainance not done to it, that's starting to catch up now that its being daily'd by me.
I just walked away from a deal for a 93 sc4 with 100 000 miles, it had a butchered alarm and stereo set up, missing a passenger side seat panel, had a probl,em with 1 or more cat's , had little bits of rust on and under the car, brake line leaked , missing one of the side lights, and a few other issues.
I got her down from $3000 down to $1500 and I still walked away, and I dont regret it.

The guy that I'm buying it from said that he thought it was the tranny at first, then he said it was the catalytic converters, but I don't think either of those are the problem. I hope theres not anything wrong with the transmission haha. If it does end up being the transmission I'm just gonna put a manual in it. And I'm not too worried about the motor because from everywhere I've read 1uz's are good bullet proof motors.
