looking to spruce up my engine bay a little bit and found/made most of what im looking for but is having a hard time finding valve cover bolts and washers.. anyone have any ideas on where to look.
thanks
Use your original bolts and have them powdercoated or painted. Take your valve cover, smooth it out (sanding) prime it, and spray-then use a heat resistant clear. Something to think about, a few bucks and little bit of your time. Post up pics, so we can give you more ideas.
Since I can follow along, I'll contribute....... Go to any hot rod website and you'll find every bolt you can find anodized many colors. They like to dress up the rods with colors these days.
on my supra i used SS allen with SS washers for everything including valve covers, spark plug covers, mounting sensors, etc. easily purchased at fastenal and usually in stock.
Well since you have a sc400 I can show you what I did...as soon as i find a pic. Might scrap it n go chrome though. But I had upper intake mani, valve covers and throttle body polished. Then I was going to buy chrome misc bolts. I am currently working on carbon fiber timing covers with a window. and a carbon vanity plate. I think i have some pics in my build thread. But Ill see if i can find some on my comp...
