Default Modding/correcting Suggestions on a sandstone beige SC400

Hi CL
I was attempting to sell my 1992 SC400. It was put up for sale about 4 months ago at $4500 OBO and I only got, what, 3 bites? So I might just keep this for a little while longer. (You can see the *tiny* mods I've done already in pics) I've already put $3500 into it and I don't want to lose money when I sell it further on. I would just like some random, (no, not randumb,) suggestions regarding *inexpensive* modding or restoring. So let the suggestions come pouring in!

Here are a couple pictures of the SC400. (Color is sandstone beige metallic)

I apoligize for the oversized images, it's the camera. I swear.

A good first mod would be tint. Coilovers or lowering springs would be great too if you can get a good deal on a used set.

looks immaculate, whats the mileage?

Mods are all up to you man, but you will never get the money back that you put it, IMO you need wheels badly and a 97 kit.

Tinting is done. (Not great, but tinting nonetheless...) It already has Coilovers, and I would really like to lower it for looks, but it would cost a pretty penny. Thank's for the suggestions

Mileage is 149XXX. Thank's for the compliment but it isn't immaculate, but pretty close. (See picture #2 back seats separating from the sun). LOL I hate those wheels. I'm hoping to find a good set of SC430 discs to put on but it would look ugly if it's all high like that...Body kit's are a good idea. Is there one being given away? (I love the lip too much to do that) Oh, and BTW, I got a 71' Cutlass for free. Fixed it. Sold it for a grand. Got a 92' Explorer that was a peice of crap. Fixed it till it was almost mint. Sold it for $1900, made $900. Now I have this Lexus. Fixing cars and making money is possible...

97+ kit FTW . You got the lip .... I am jealous lol

I see you have, whats that 35%?, on the front but no tint on the back... go 25% all around or at least in the back. Mod the corner lights make em into fogs. Mod the orange side lights make em clear (the name slips my mind at this time). Shave antenna and change or re-upholster that rear seat back.

Show us interior.

I love the lip! The tinting is I think 35% on drivers side, (state allows), and 15 or 20% on the passenger. I like the corner lights as they are. Kinda like the orange lights, but will search around too see what they look like...Your right on with that peice of crap antenna...extends up a couple stories and it doesn't even work. I had originally gotten an antenna, a little stubby Cabon Fiber one but I have to put it in still...and yes, the seat IS getting reupholstered soon! Thanks for the ideas! Keep em comin'!

^ LOL

Firstly, very clean interior . As for the side markers (now I remember ) I like the orange too, but I think clears would look nice on sandstone beig as well. You can always get a secondary set from the classifieds for cheap and have yourself an extra set to play with.

As for the engine bay, clean that bad boy up and polish your valve covers upon your next vc gasket service, that ought to make your engine shine and stand out. These are links my detailer buddy, Diman, gave me a while back. He detailed his bay and man..... didnt that look pretty!

Amazon Amazon

PS: Thats NOT the stock intake joint between the MAF and the other tubing is it?

I'll look to see what clear side markers will look like. I had cleaned the engine bay 4 or 5 times, not thoroughly though. I'm definitely gonna clean it though, That YouTube video inspired me! Especially since I detail vehicles for a paying job.

And PS: The "stock" intake joint was there when I purchased the car, so I assume it's stock...is it? Thanks for the pointers! Just out of interest, what wheels would look the best on the SC400?
Thanks a ton you guys, it really helps!

Looks very clean man, if you want cheap mods then I would just get some coilovers and Varrstoens. Although I would suggest getting another body kit and go all 97, get some nice work wheels (Or anything considered equivalent), and get some good coilovers (or get a nice air setup, but that's probably way out of the question since you're trying not to spend a whole lot).

Thank's for your input ASTERISK. The best way to fill in that space from the tire and wheel well is suspension. The worst is 35' chrome blings. Those blings make me puke. Put them on a neon but not on a Lexus.

I know you are asking for tastefully mods, but if you are trying to sell it, then i woukdnt put anymore money in it. Jmo. I think the car is very clean enough to sell like it is. It appears to be very goosld shape for the color and year, plus the mileage is right. I would mod it only if you plan on keeping it yourself. It looks to clean to sell. I woukd keep it.
