electric wire by rearveiw mirror

My 95 has a wire coming out right beside the rear veiw mirror. was wondering what it was for. Any one know? thanks

The mirror as an electronic dimmer. Could be related to that.

Or could be that the PO had a radar detector wired there.

it looks like a radar detector plug but comes out by mirror.
