Default ScoobySC3 got himself a Scooby.

Well my plan was to get my SC back on the road before I bought another car, but a local STi popped up for sale and I could not pass it up.

My new to me 2005 STi

Being towed home due to blown turbo

said turbo:

And my new VF39:

Also picked up a set of OEM BBS wheels to get rid of those Rotas:

Plan for this car is to get it pretty much back to stock minus a few things. I want this to be my "fun" daily driver. Only down side is that the SC wont get quite a much love, but none of my plans have changed for it.

Thanks!
Rick

What was the turbo that was blown?

My old Subaru (05 Legacy GT w/ HTA Green turbo):

I may consider another one in the future. Probably find one already modded just to save on the costs

Nice! I think I remember seeing that in another thread, very clean. And I bought a semi-moded one, but an trying to take it back to stock haha. I did buy an Accessport for it, but when installing the turbo I noticed the the AVCS hard line had a small hose, so now I am waiting on a stainless line kit. Hoping to have it up and running in 4-5 days. The turbo that was on there was a TD05-16G.

Anyway, here is my SC which you can follow in my build thread. I actually worked on it a bit today, but no pics of the progress.

When I first got it.

Yeah the SC's progress is slow right now, but hopefully it should not be too much longer before it is back on the road. And I think this is my 13th Subaru LOL. Most have been 93-95 Imprezas with the version 1-2 WRX engine swap, this is actually my first STi. I have wanted one since 04 and it only took me 8 years to get one LOL.

Thanks guys!
