If you have the harness wired correctly i dont see any problem in using the 2jzgte, but i am no expert by any means. Why did you do this instead of using what was factory and using a piggyback or just bought a DM AEM V2 with the correct patch harness? Or maybe a Haltech or ProEFi?? I maybe confused...

As long as the harness is correctly wired for a 2JZ sequential injection, versus a 1JZ's batch injection, you can run any 2JZGTE ECU, unless you go full EMS, then batch/sequential makes no difference. Your tuner will take care of the outputs for that when they tune the car.

thank you guys, i ended up getting a stock 2jzgte ecu and I'm working on getting the car running right now (low fuel pressure) everything seems to be working right with the ecu, I'm getting power to the injectors and ignition so hopefully it works out

and i chose this route because the harness that came with my engine was chewed up bad, so i had the stock harness wired for coils and the right injectors, and so i don't have to deal with the common failure of 1jz ecus and i now have the option if i wanna go 2jzgte i can just swap the harness and i don't have to go through wiring again
