Default Instrument Cluster Bulbs

I need to replace the bulbs in my cluster and have done the research on removing the cluster but can't find the info on what type and how many bulbs I need.

Can someone tell me the type and size bulb? Also is LED a better way to go?

#74, the leds will give you hot spots where the light shines, in order to get an even look you have to do the led light strips, i replaced mine with the standard bulbs since i wasn't converting all my lights to leds just yet.

Size 94, they are eight them. They are in black and twist and pull out.

First time I saw that write up, very informative and great effort!

74 are useless and 94 are incorrect, but since I have spent ten years on here telling everyone the proper bulbs to use and nobody searches I've decided to stop. Good luck. If you're using 74's you'll need it.

PS- the ES cluster is designed differently, using their LED write ups for the SC will get you a pretty horrible looking cluster. Their spreader is MUCH more efficient and light screams through it whereas the SC has over 8 walls inside on each side.

O.L.T. it's not that I'm lazy I will do as much research as anyone . I love to learn about stuff. I was able to pull up your FAQ on the bulbs. I thought maybe another member had found a newer solution that was not Lexus oem.

Please understand that when I ask a question on this or any forum I try to gather as much info and hopefully answers before posing the question.

I'm new to the SC world and I'm really going to need support from this forum to get my new baby up to my standards.

Can you explain why the #74 bulbs aren't going to work?

The 74 are dim, undersized, and WRONG. Anyone who likes using 74's haven't seen what the proper bulbs look like in there. Look in the ice blue thread, even though it's in a million spots you'll find it there.
