I currently drive a 92 mazda miata that I adore. I am contemplating possibly getting a lexus sc400 for a daily to commute to college everyday. It would be on the highway for about 15 miles each way. I actually had some questions to ask.

1. my research indicates that at around 100,000 miles the seals on the power steering fail and leak on the alternator. Is there a way to see if this has been fixed.
2. I know that the gauge cluster lights can go dim and die. Is there a way to fix these by replacing a bulb or something?
3. So far what do you guys think of the sc's?
4. Ive actually been eying a sc400 in rsp with a black interior.
5. Any tips or things I should know about the car it self that should make me want a sc300? I would prefer to do most of the work myself.

never mind I just saw online one in rsp with black interior. It looks very nice.

 

Yeah, they had the all black interior, tan, and two-tone tan with black.

If the RSP SC is clean, definitely get it. It's an amazing color in person.

 

man i hope you got that sc400.... i bought mine about a month ago with some issues but still an awesome experience....

 

I'm in no rush yet. I've got about a year to go one for a nice price. Is there a particular year that stands out more than the others for being better? I would prefer one with obd2
