For some reason here lately I have noticed that under hard acceleration, there is a water trickling/burbling noise coming from the dash/firewall area. There are no water leaks and the coolant level is fine.

Any ideas???

 

Don't worry it's just the antifreeze flowing through the lines, you get that noise after your first acceleration in the morning especially when you have the heat on, plus the heater core is right on the inside (on the firewall) antifreeze runs through that.

 

They have probably integrated a bong in the Lexus cars that will be sold in US. A standard feature...enjoy it!

 

i believe the trickling noise is the pee running down your leg...lol

Its air in your coolant line and can be let out by any mechanic shop. Or you can jack up the front of the car and use a spill-free funnel. See the URL below:

Not to be that guy but this thread is 11 years old, I think he probably fixed it by now

 

I knew that but I posted a response for anyone who needs a resolution to the problem. I drove with it like that for 2 years and finally found out about the process and fixed it.

 

I had this problem in my SC after i changed the T stat recently, i thought i got all the air out, is there a bleeder valve somewhere?

the car is on jackstands currently undergoing a radiator and harmonic balancer install since the old one let go, i'd like to do it right this time.

 

Funny! I just heard this same sound in my car a few hours ago! Couldn't figure out what it was. Thanks for the 11 year bump. Haha

 

And my heat stopped working right after i installed the t-stat, maybe thats why, and here i was sweating over trying to find a heater control valve.

 

If bleeding doesn't solve the heater control valve issue, check the DIY section. There's a cheap repair how-to there.

 

alright, i'll try the front end on jackstands with the cap open/heater on low and see if that burps the system, i didn't do that last time.

 

since this has been bumped this also may be condinsation draining into the passenger floor board check there to see if the drain is clogged up
