Default Would you Trade?

Would you trade a 93' 1jz sc300 auto for a very clean 98 sc300 vvti auto

The 98 is stock other than the stereo and "My racing hart m5 wheels" will be on it. Just curious what people would do?

If you did trade what would you do to the 98'? Yes, I know it is vvti and yes I know it is obd-2.. So no matter those factors what would you do?

If you need to see my 1jz sc look at my threads and you can see what my car looks like. The other I do not have pics of but interior looks flawless "Tan" and exterior "pearl White" is near flawless. Well maintained also.

No rude posts please. This is a genuine question.

No way, unless the 1JZ car's ugly...
Otherwise, put a '98 body kit & tail lights on it, and it's the same thing, but with a better engine.

If yor 1JZ runs good, you should keep the current car.

^Your choice of avatar renders your opinion invalid

Already told ya my opinion yeterday bud, and considering I'll be planning and performing the majority of the swap when the time comes for $free.fifty.free, so is pretty much everyone elses.

I was actually putting together ideas to run by you this week as I was slacking on packing last night.

What's wrong with your SC? Why are you trading in the first place?

Keep the older one and install a 97 style kit or any other kit you want. Unless your car is starting to show rust or major suspension issues that are costly, it's not worth the trade.

I have a 1jz and it was already swapped in the car. It is a clean car but bored with it.

True, you will be doing a lot of work on it! Lets talk ideas and see what my next move will be for the 98 sc.

When I bought my sc I took over someone elses project. I really want to start from scratch. Make it my own.

In that case, go for it. Always more fun to do it yourself.

All though this idea is not bad there is a lot more to do to my car than just a kit. The interior needs help. Then adding the body kit. All of this plus I would like something vvti like NA-T, vvti 1jz, or if I could afford it 2jzgte vvti. With the swap it will be converted to 5spd. Which right now I have an auto. The fact that the newer one looks better and will have my wheels on it right away makes me happy. I can drop some suspension in it too. Then its look is done. It will be a great daily until I swap it and then it will be even more fun. Just saying this is how I see it! Plus, it will be worth more than my current one with the swap or whatever when or if I decide to sell it.

Sounds like you have your mind made up and have a layout of future plans. If it makes you happy then move forward with the trade.
