ac climate control compatability....
does anyone know if you have to have a 92-94 ac unit (GREEN) in a 92- 94 sc300, or can you use one from a 95 and up (orange) and i guess the 98-00 also had a different style too???? not sure if anyone has confirmed this or not but i cant find any solid info on it. any help is appreciated.

You need to go by part number on the back half. The front won't tell you anything of the fronts have been swapped. I wish I had more info like I stated in the PM, but you can easily take the back half of your controller, and place it on a different non bleeding front half. It's done by taking off two screws, popping up a few tabs, pulling the halves apart, and disconnecting two wires and swapping in reverse. Literally 5 minutes or less. No soldering is needed, they are plugs you can unplug. It's simple.
That's the best I can do for you, hopefully someone can help you, but I'd use the part number for your question.

I have no Idea if it can affect the clutch function.
It does work but...
You need to swap faces. Best bet is buy a correct year model with bleeding screen for cheap. Then bolt your non bleeding face into the back half of the correct unit. Boom its fully functional again. Thats what I did!!
