I have searched and found nothing definitive. My radio display comes on right when I turn the car on and displays what looks like everything that can be displayed then turns off the radio still works but no display and the cd changer doesn't work. I have checked all fused and they are all good. The cd changer still has power and ejects the cartridge just fine. This all happened after I had my timing belt and all that goes with it done. Maybe be related or coincidence. I really want to keep my stock radio in the car I love the way it looks. Has this happened before and is there a simple fix or am I just SOL. It's a 95 sc400 with a 12disc in the trunk.

From what your discribing, it may be your headunit malfuncting, do a search on the headunit.

Try disconnecting the battery. Mine was malfunctioning and that fixed it for me. Sort of a hard reset.
