Would anyone be interested in new automatic shift knobs (92-96)?

I agree, the celica shifter is not a bad option - can someone please verify it will work.

I really don't understand what's wrong with the stock shifter. It's nice looking...unlike the older 4-speed shifters in other Lexus cars (like the LS/GS/ES)...those are just plain ugly!

It's very long.... Looks like a *****, aka "dildomatic".... Being use to driving stick also makes it worse.

Manaray is right, those shifters in the old Lexus cars are alot worse. I took a 93 LS400 for a spin tonight for giggles and the darn shifter looked like an @ss paddle.

hehhee...you said "@ss paddle"...

Sc4oo - While I prefer the newer style gate shifter *****, out of all the older straight shift automatic "*****" that I've scene, the SC's look the best. If I owned an older LS or GS, I would probably try to convert it to the SC style honestly...

Maybe if someone made the same style shifter but just shorter...hmmm..custom job?

Whenever my girl is next to me while I'm driving, she won't let go of it... She keeps grabbing it the whole time. And...i get nervous...

As soon as I get a hold of a grey one for a reasonable price.. I will try to custom it... Make it about 2" shorter or something... When and If I do, I will take pics and list all the steps.

This will involve a jigsaw or hand saw to trim the metal down as well. Getting it to stay on would also be tricky.
