Default 1999 SC300 Traction Control Button Explanation

I searched and couldn't find a thread explaining it, if there is one please link me to it.

Can someone explain the differences in driving with traction off (button under steering wheel) and the button near the seat warmers on PWR, SNOW or in the middle.

Thank you.

Trac gives power to the wheel needed most, pwr button helps you accelerate better, snow slows down your acceleration.

How about when the traction is on, bottom switch not engaged, and switch by heated seats is in the middle?

Traction Control limits power when the ABS speed sensor detects the wheels spinning.
Power makes the car shift at a higher RPM
Snow I don't know.

The button under the steering wheel is NOT a traction contol button. The one you are talking about allows you to turn off the remote door unlocking function. So if you push the button to off you will not be able to unlock your doors with the key remote.

Unless the key locking feature is called TRAC, and displays as TRAC OFF, then its a traction control button.
