so me and some buddies have noticed that out of all our SC's im the only one who has this hose. its an aftermarket hose but there was an OEM hose there. it just happened to snap lol.

see the one with the metal coil around it? there was an OEM hose there. and look at the next picture.

no hose. only the small one. and i checked, i have the small one too.

any ideas or anyone know what this is??

The pics above are of mine's and Tommy's engine bay...Just curious as to what this hose is...Both our cars are 95 SC300's.

coolant maybe if so its not important to the car unless you drive in a very cold area pretty sure its ment to keep the throttle from freezing up but i could be dead wrong....just a shot in the dark!

IACV - Idle Air Control Valve. It appears some SC's used small hoses, and others large hoses.

I too have noticed this difference.

My SC is the second one pictured above, Why doesn't my SC have that same large hose? Although we both have that same small hose by the TPS. My car and the OP's car, Are the same year model ('95).

No thanks to anyone here (Bunch of ungratefuls LOL!) But I found out what that hose is for, It's a hose that allows for some air passage from the throttle to the injectors for better atomization. "California Cars" DO NOT have this hose...However, By having this hose, You can only run stock injectors...Only SC's that don't have this hose can run aftermarket injectors.
