And I dont believe alot of my friends until I get advice or other opinions. He said you shouldnt because its so many moving parts. It sounded like bs to me as well because japanese motors are know to be high revving engines but I like to verify this kind of stuff. But thanks for your help. And just wanna know what oil is good of a SC400? I work at a rapid lube and they say that they can order AMS Full Synthetic and I picked up a wix oil filter but just wanted to know what would good oil to put in the 1UZ.
The 1UZ will run forever as it is. You don't need any special oil. Just keep it changed and you'll be fine.
My 20 year old engine revs past 5k every time I drive it. Even my "old school" pushrod Hemi Ram shifts at over 6k rpm. You want moving parts - my brother's 6.0 liter v12 shifts after 6k rpm too. It is "only" SOHC and "only" 3 valves per cylinder but that's still a lot of parts.
