Hey guys I'm trying to figure out how to order these wheels I want for a different look
There American wheels so the size is 5x4.5 but I need to figure out this backspacing thing.
I need a anywhere between a 0 to +12 or +15 offset so what would that equate to in terms of back spacing? I have ls400 bbl up front so they have to clear that. Or what backspacing would I need and then I can find the offset? I'm kinds confused on this

If I ran these I think they will fit. 0 offset is extreme but I have rolled and pulled fenders. I think the only thing I'll need is hub converter to 60.1
The hubs are different so I need a converter. I found these: 83.82 to 60.06

I dont think those will work on the ls brakes. They dont look like they have a high disc face. The offset has no relation brake clearance. The offset either pulls in or pushes out the wheel. Each wheel is different though, on a 9.5 wide wheel a 0 offset is different than a 0 offset on a 9 wide wheel. To make them both the "same" relatively the 9 would need to have a roughly -6 offset.
with that said offset is the mounting surface in relation to the wheel centerline (between the tire beads not "lips"). So a 0 offset is perfectly center inbetween the beads. The mounting surface is the part where the wheel touches the hub or rotor.
Backspacing is the same principle but instead of using the centerline you use the back of the wheel . So a 0 backspacing will have literally no inner lip since the mounting surface is pushed in.
Make sense?

those wheels with a 5" back spacing is a 0mm offset. If you want a +12mm offset you want a 5.5" back space...My math could be off.

Yes..My math was right...Here this chart should help, i should have searched this and cut out 3 posts and useless words! oh well...enjoy.
Gotchya. Yea after I posted i read you get back spacing by diving offset and wheel diameter or something. Just trying to figure this out
