For the record. An sc400 automatic transmission weighs 170lbs. My ka transmission clocks in at right around 90lbs

Currently on the way to get materials to fab up the transmission mount. Then hopefully a driveshaft by the weekend!

Pics coming soon! : )

Awesome build.

Love seeing that the sc400 has more options for 5-speed conversion.

Keep us posted on progress.

That's awesome!

Couple things I've bumped into as of late is getting a 1 piece driveshaft to work on the diff without that big rubber hockey puck. It looks like I'll have to have the puck on there for now. But I'm going to work on getting a solid replacement.

Second is once you bolt on the slave cylinder there's is about a half inch distance till it hits the first catalytic converter. Not acceptable. Luckily the cat is removable by the header. We're welding up a cat delete at the moment.

I'm working back to back for about 2 weeks so I can go to formula drift in palm beach this Friday and Saturday so I haven't gotten a solid day on the car yet to make a tranny mount or get the measurements. It's so close tho. : )

Am I the only one that can't see any picture of this car?? It's says:

"Upgrade to Pro today! Bandwidth exceeded. Photobucket"

As I don't use photobucket, I don't think this is for me...

Thank.

Central florida, Melbourbe area

We have a few sc's around here and several GS.

Tranny just went out so will be looking at this option. Found several KA24 trannys out there.

What drive shaft are you using? front ka back sc?

Any problems with the clutch?

Correct on the driveshaft. Getting a custom one piece made hopefully this week.

Clutch should work great! Brett has the original one on his 1uz racecar (same one that's included with kit)

Theres a couple little issues here and there that I'm bumping into with this swap (probably cause no one has tried it) but nothing beyond what someone with decent mechanical know-how can't handle

I'm getting antsy tho. I need to drive again! Lol
