Why not paint it body colored. I have seen a lot of MR2 Spyders like this and really like it. I think that I might do mine like that after I get the retrofit HID.

Painting the same as the body color would probably look nicer if you really wanted to paint it to get rid of the glare. It would have to be a non reflectant paint where its flat. It looks really nice on ferraris but I guess we'd have to see the real thing to really know if it would look good or not. I was thinking about doing this a while back but kinda forgot all bout it.

I'm painting the housings black too.
Not sure on a beige car though.

man..some HRE's or some OZ's would look good on your beige car Lex.

Dammit, I wish I had a black car! Then I could just paint the freakin' headlights, it'd look sick and increase color while reducing glare, I could get some gunmetal rims, limo tint all around, and be done with it all.....

Default well..

A quality paint job could run you 3500-4000 bucks to make it a black car. It's worth it I think

Cuz it seems the color is affecting your other mod decisions.
If you get the color you want it will help

i think that you should paint it the color of the car, that would be sick. ive seen a pic of a white IS300 with a white housing and it looked nice. I was going to paint mine white, but i never got around to finishing it. well maybe ill do it today...

it would be a nice mod but....

this mod makes the car look a little too much like the mitsubishi 3000gt with the light blackend like that from the front.

doesn't look uniform unless somehow the signal lights are also blackened.

Hmmm.......I like it. IMO you'd have to do the hi and lo beams and lose a little output from the 9005's, otherwise it wouldn't look uniform, but man it would sharpen up the cutoff on your X5 HID's and make a mild-coloured car look more aggressive, especially in someone's rear-view. I would make you the offer to trade like legendary did, but I can't see you wanting to transfer your BMW optics over to another set of lamps, maybe you won't mind doing that. I've wanted to do it on mine, I think it would look good with the Silver and Gunmetal theme of my car, but I have two other ideas for the headlamps that i'm considering, Rich PM or call me and i'll brainstorm with you, you might like some of my ideas.

I'm confused (again) about which part of the headlight assembly would be painted.... Also how come it wouldn't diminish the light out put???
