Default my experiment refinishing my headlight

ive tried polishing my headlights before but the inside of the lense seemed to be more dirty than the outside. i took it apart to clean it and found out that it wasnt dirty. the chrome finish had started fading showing the black housing behind it, making my headlight look dark/dirty. i was going to paint the inside of both housings gloss black but when i went to pick up some paint i came across some "chrome" spray paint and thought i would try that 1st. i didnt think to start taking pics until after i resprayed the chrome piece so this is the only picture i have showing the difference in the headlights.

chrome piece painted...

polished both sides of the lense and starting to put it back together

everything back together ready to go back on the car

finished product... will do the fog lights another day

up close..

btw please excuse my chipped up bumper lol

Thanks for postind your results. I blacked out my headlight housings and have been thinking about restoring them back to chrome. I was hesitant about using the spray paint method but it actually looks good. I will go buy a spray can in the near future and get this done!
