I bought the same LED's as you suggested and they are much smaller than the bulb "housing". They practically rattle inside so I took them out. How did you get yours to stay inside the bulb housing tightly?

SuperbrightLED's doesn't take returns so I'm out $30 bucks

Should have gone with my gut and just sent this cluster away to Lextech.

U have to bend the pins in the connectors so they grab the bulb better.

I also went with suoerbrightleds. I was overall impressed with the quality of bulbs but i also have hot spots. The same positions as yours. Overall it looks good and i can live with mine.

ah... I see, I see.

Since the LED's have negative and positive polarity, did you simply install them and have a little trial and error demo before getting them all to light?

Anyone else try this mod? For the bright spots... has anyone tried putting some hot glue over the LED to diffuse the light?

I used the reflective tape on the inside of mine. The kind people used on AC duct work but without the lettering. I had to cut several small pieces. The results were alot better, I also. It was not perfect, but it was alot better and well worth the effort. Just peel and stick on the white plastic. Good luck.
